When I was a kid, around ten years old, a friend of mine showed me some of the work of Banksy. It's unimaginable how big the impression must've been. But looking at my recent work makes it obvious that it's definitely inspired by him.
I'm intrigued by shadows in people their faces and faces in general.
The whole deal of making stencil portrait, for me, relies on the fact that by simply removing pieces of cardboard, you're able to create an identity. You're not adding anything to the paper, you're basically ripping it up as it once was an A4 sheet of thin cardboard.
Living in Amsterdam is quite inspiring.
